This month's design briefs have mostly been about elevating living rooms. My client SOS texted "I still have the same furniture I moved in with years ago. Really want some colour and nice touches- HELP!"

When the call goes out, I answer. My client is now mulling over interior design style mood boards and colour preferences then I'm back for a measure up before starting on her living room design concepts. Meanwhile across town, another home style distress signal went up!

This time a beautiful sitting room that had a gap where something fabulous and practical needed to go (my speciality). My solution is one of my stylish home picks for this month (see later).

A recently added sideboard looked a little plonked and my client couldn't quite work out how to style it up. My super easy styling solution? A glam drinks tray, complete with elegant tumblers and fancy booze for that cheeky nightcap. A plant and table lamp completes the scene- function AND form.

A nightcap darling? Don't mind if I do.

Anyway, I digress. Here's my TOP 5 picks of living room lovelies for April. Spring off the sofa and have a look.

Here's the console that will stylishly fill the gap in my client's living room - works in a hallway too. Dunelm

I Love everything about this armchair - rich burnished brown velvet, quirky pale pink legs and it's "curl up and read a book" squishiness. Daals.
