This made me laugh so much as this is kinda true in my experience - and the BIGGEST compliment - My female clients will sometimes say to me, "husband's not sure we need this" - only for me to deliver the design and then I hear we get a "OH, I GET IT NOW!" from the fellas. That's why I involve every family member and always ask for feedback and insight from the whole house so that I understand everyone's wishes and everyone feels they have a stake in the design outcome. Haven't shown my face for a while and grateful for the new follows, so thought I'd say a bit more about myself...

🇮🇪Born and bred in Dublin, moved to Wokingham age 13 - kids would run up to me shouting - "you're the Irish one, aren't you? Say something!" (always nice, never mean) and as luck would have it, my number in the school register was 33... 💚😂
🎓I studied Marketing, French and German at university and worked in marketing (mostly entertainment brands) for over 10 years
👩‍❤️‍👨 Mr D and I were friends at school - and the rest is history (20 years married this year, he's a saint)
👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 I've two teenage sons - eldest leaves this year to go to Uni (full on denial mode) - my house is muddy football boots, wrestling and ENDLESS football chat over dinner - and I wouldn't change a thing 👸
I have a weird knack for remembering lyrics, I always get the conundrum in Countdown, I'm always moving heavy items around my home and love walking, cups of tea and walnut whips. Nice to meet you! Emma x

🏡 It's a week since I worked for @yourmovingday on a move to this beautiful home in Sunningdale. We unpacked, organised and styled every room (this bedroom was one of my tasks for the day and FYI we even make the beds beautifully) so that the family could just relax and enjoy their new home day one.

Ruth and Helen are the brains behind this fantastic service and I love working on these projects with them! I get to organise and style gorgeous homes for lovely families - basically my dream job. Those perched on dining chairs or propped up at the kitchen table, even those sneaking snacks from the fridge (I see you kids 🥰), doing press ups in break time, going on ANOTHER walk (sorry kids). To the “teachers” frantically printing worksheets and soothing nerves.

I’m not going to spout any positive messages as it’s hard this time to dig deep and find them but we notice your grit and we think you’re all little legends.

We’ve all had to grow up these past months in ways we never wanted to nor ever thought we could. Keep on keeping on.

clothes-buying mojo - gone. I used to spend hours trawling through clothes shops in my 20's but these days I'm happiest mooching round Ikea. Lockdown showed us we can manage fine with fewer clothes - it's certainly easier to keep your drawers ordered 😂
